Michael isworking under the direction of Drs. Cheeseman and Anderson in developing and utilizing bioinformatic tools for analysis of data from Malaria, for which current tools are often incomplete and insufficient. In particular, he will be working with Dr. Xue Li to perform single cell sequencing and QTL mapping analysis to understand the transcriptomic mechanisms of mutations associated with malaria drug resistance.
