Nirjhar Bhattacharyya

Nirjhar is a 4^th Year Ph.D.  student in the Ferdig Lab and is co-advised by Dr Ferdig and Dr. Mukherjee. His research investigates the autophagy gene atg18 for its role in drug resistance. Using knock-sideways technology, he is assessing putative mutants of this candidate to see changes in resistance phenotype. His strengths in computational biology have also led him to be essential in the analysis of progeny datasets through bulk segregant analysis.
